We built this product because we personally struggled with this exact problem. While writing our theses, we constantly needed to extract complex mathematical formulas from textbooks and papers. Typing them by hand was not only incredibly time-consuming but also extremely error-prone. We tried many existing image to latex tools, but most either locked features behind paywalls, forced mandatory sign-ups, or had disappointing recognition accuracy that failed completely on slightly complicated formulas.

As developers, we knew there had to be a simpler solution. So we spent a few weekends building this completely free picture to latex tool based on the latest OCR model. No ads, no tricks — just a tool made to help people like us stop wasting hours typing formulas.

The product is still in its very early stages, and the recognition model has plenty of room for improvement. Right now, what we need most is not traffic or revenue, but your honest feedback.
